Detailed itinerary:
1. At around 6:00pm, you will be picked up from your hotel, and from there we’ll drive to the CCTV Tower, which is located in the western region of the city.
2. We will arrive at the CCTV Tower. At a height of 386.5 meters, the CCTV Tower is the tallest tower in the city. It has an observation platform at the height of 238m, and the top of its antenna rod is as high as 405m, and is listed as one of the members of the World Federation of Great Towers. Not surprisingly, the tower is the home of many TV and Radio station broadcasts, including CCTV 1, CCTV 4, and CCTV 9. The tower is the ideal place to have a bird's eye view of the whole city of Beijing. When you reach the observation deck, you’ll be able to enjoy a sweeping view of the entire city.
3. You’ll then be taken to the tower’s restaurant, which is located at 221 meters above the ground. The restaurant serves a buffet including French, Italian, Japanese, Cantonese, and Sichuan Cuisine, and each wall has a set of binoculars. The restaurant is a rotating dining hall, and every 90 minutes the restaurant makes a complete circulation.
4. Following dinner, you’ll be taken to the tower’s “TV Culture Hall”, a place linking visitors to CCTV's past and present. In the hall, you well learn about the history and development of CCTV, China’s largest TV and radio broadcasting station.
5. Then it is off to the 6 meter high “Culture Corridor”, which will introduce to you some basic aspects of traditional Beijing culture, as well as many pictures and photographs showcasing Beijing’s long and fascinating history.
6. You’ll then be taken back to your hotel, and you will be dropped off. |
