Morning
The Bund.
The Bund, also known as Zhongshan East Road, is about 1.5
kilometers long. Located in Puxi, as the riverside of Huangpu
River, the Bund has 52 buildings of various styles, including
Gothic, Romanesque, Baroque, Chinese and Western styles, are
known as the "World Architecture Exposition Group". It
represents the scenery of Shanghai and is a must-visit tourist
destination in Shanghai. In the late 19th century, many foreign
banks on the Bund were established on the Bund, known as
Shanghai’s “Fiscal Street” or “Oriental Wall Street”. Due to the
rich historical value of the Bund, owning a small piece of land
on the Bund is not only a sign of wealth, but also a sign of
honor.
Afternoon
Pujiang River
Cruise. If you take a cruise in Paris to enjoy
the Seine River, this is the best way to see the scenery on both
sides of Shanghai's most beautiful Mother River.
Day
02 Shanghai Tour sightseeing
Morning
Yuyuan Garden:
Located at a very busy marketplace in a complex of traditional-style
buildings, backing onto Yu Gardens, you can find everything there
from popular local snacks and food, crafts, antiques and souvenirs
to Starbucks, teahouses and some great restaurants. There is a small
(reconstructed) Temple (Chenghuang: Temple of the City Gods) in
there as well.
Optional
Attraction:
The Shanghai World Financial Center:
The
Shanghai World Financial Center is a super tall skyscraper. It is
a multi use skyscraper, which will consist of offices, hotels, conference
rooms, observation decks, and shopping malls on the lower floors.
The hotel component has 175 rooms and suites and goes by the name:
The Park Hyatt, Shanghai. On September 14, 2021, the skyscraper
reached 492.3 meters (1,615.2 ft) and became the tallest
structure on mainland China, including Hong Kong, as well as the
world's third tallest building (including unfinished ones), after
the Burj Dubai and Taipei 101.
Optional Attraction:
Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Shanghai's symbolic TV tower, once
the highest point of Shanghai back in 1990's.
Afternoon
The French Concession
is the area of Shanghai once designated for the French. Today, the
area's central Huaihai Rd is a busy shopping street, but the tree-lined
avenues and their many Tudor mansions still retain an air of the
"Paris of the East".
Old French
Concession Streets. Get away from the busy streets and explore the
area between Julu Rd to the north and Huai Hai Rd running through
the center, plus Mao Ming Rd and surrounding area to the south of
Huai Hai Rd. Pleasant tree-lined streets and local Shanghainese
bustle, combined with a growing number of trendy boutiques and restaurants.
Chang Le Rd and Xin Le Rd are rapidly becoming the places to find
small designer clothing shops. Interesting architecture built with
French and Belgian money and showing mixed Chinese-European styles.
Start from XuJiaHui.
Hengshan Road:Hengshan
Road, a famous cultural and entertainment street, has the reputation
of
'the first business street in Shanghai
" because of its thriving business activities in old Shanghai. Hengshan
Road, connecting Baoqing Road in north, Tianping Road in south,
has a length of 2410 meters. 415 French phoenix trees on both sides
had accompanied the European style construction for half a century.
Foreign-style construction, hiding behind the green aisle, makes
the street free from vulgarity. For years, Hengshan Road has more
than 180 leisure bars, restaurants, beauty parlors, recreation centers
and snack bars, which attract many travelers from different areas.
Walk along the road to see classical
old buildings and enjoy the neatness of the road.
Changle Road/Wukang Road
the French concession area
Dr. Sun Yat-sen's
Former Residence,
7 Xiangshan Road., The house was the residence of Sun Yat-sen and
his wife Soong Ching Ling from 1918 to 1937. It was converted into
a musium in 1961 and tells the story of Sun Yat-sen, the revolutionary
father of China's republic.
Xintiandi,
Enter this small pedestrian area of the city featuring rebuilt traditional
shikumen houses. Housing a cinema complex, mall, numerous bars,
cafés and art galleries marketed towards foreign visitors and the
more affluent locals. Close to where the Communist party headquarters
were located.
