A few accidents which had killed several international tourists had forced the city government to order all travel agencies to obtain a legal license, use better vehicle, use tolled highways, and hire English-speaking tour guides to operate. What we have been doing is to comply with the government's safety codes and standards. However, there are still a number of small agents who are not certified or licensed. They use old vehicles to bring tourists to the Wall without a guide. They also drive on highly-jammed two-lane country roads to avoid highway toll. Sunday, 28th December 2008. High: 0°C Low: -8°C . 1 day hiking trek from Jinshanling to Simatai

At 7:45am, Fong shifu, our driver picked me up from my hotel with his clean mini van even before the pre-arranged time. Soon, we met Mike (from USA), Alex (from Germany) and Connie Yu (our guide) and head for the Great wall without delay. It was a great experience with Great Wall Adventure Club as everything was pre-arranged & pre-purchased, no surprises on the need to pay for additional, and as promised, no shopping! It was a professional service right from start (prompt communication via email) to finish (safely back to hotel).
