More than a viewpoint
Walk tower to tower and understand how the Wall follows the natural defense line.
A continuous walk from Gubeikou’s old defensive line into the watchtower country of Jinshanling. It is a strong introduction to the contrast between untouched masonry and repaired sections.

Route illustration. Your guide will confirm the final trail, access and travel times before departure.
This is the planned sequence. Departure time, access, meals and the exact exit are confirmed for your travel date.
Meet your guide and driver at the agreed Beijing location. Travel northeast toward Gubeikou, with a comfort stop if needed.
Begin among the older, unrestored ramparts. Your guide introduces the pass and the battles associated with this strategic corridor.
Follow the winding Wall across open hills, allowing time for photographs at the weathered watchtowers and a break along the route.
Continue on paths connecting the sections. The towers grow more substantial and the masonry becomes partly restored as you approach Jinshanling.
Descend at the planned exit for a local meal. The guide checks the group is together before the drive back.
Arrive back in the city later in the day; the precise time depends on walking pace and traffic.
About 9–10 km and roughly 4½ hours of walking in the original route. Expect uneven stone, dirt paths and steady climbs.
We will confirm the trail entrance, exit, walking distance, transport and guiding language for your date. Access and conditions can change with the season.
Share your travel date, group size, ages and hiking experience. We will send a current route plan with the meeting point, expected walking time, transport, meals, equipment where relevant, and a clear list of what is included. Private departures can be shaped around your pace; group departures follow their published schedule.
