Brief itinerary

  1. Start at Gubeikou and settle into the original, unrestored line.
  2. Continue through Jinshanling’s tower-rich ridges.
  3. Finish near West Simatai after the full through-walk.

Detailed itinerary

This is the planned sequence. Departure time, access, meals and the exact exit are confirmed for your travel date.

  1. Early departure

    Leave Beijing with a full-day pack and enough water for the long route.

  2. Gubeikou start

    Enter the unrestored Wall and establish a sustainable pace.

  3. Across the connecting ridge

    Keep moving toward Jinshanling with brief photo and water stops.

  4. Jinshanling towers

    Pass the denser towers and the mixture of original and rebuilt Wall.

  5. West Simatai goal

    Continue to the permitted endpoint on the eastern side.

  6. Evening return

    Descend, eat and make the arranged trip back to Beijing.

Walking level and practical details

Approximately 16 km and seven hours in the reference itinerary. This is for experienced walkers with a full day available.

We will confirm the trail entrance, exit, walking distance, transport and guiding language for your date. Access and conditions can change with the season.
