More than a viewpoint
Walk tower to tower and understand how the Wall follows the natural defense line.
Start amid Jiankou’s dramatic unrestored ridges and finish on the broader, reconstructed ramparts of Mutianyu. The shift in terrain tells two very different chapters of the Wall’s story.

This is the planned sequence. Departure time, access, meals and the exact exit are confirmed for your travel date.
Travel from Beijing to the mountain village used for the selected Jiankou approach.

Walk carefully between ruined towers and steep sections, pausing at safe viewpoints.
Continue toward the rebuilt Wall; the route becomes more defined as you enter Mutianyu.
Explore a final tower or two, then use the agreed walking or ride option to descend.
Meet the driver and travel back after the hike.
One of the more strenuous day routes. Steep, loose and exposed parts call for sound footing and suitable weather.
We will confirm the trail entrance, exit, walking distance, transport and guiding language for your date. Access and conditions can change with the season.

We will send a current route plan with the meeting point, expected walking time, transport, meals, equipment where relevant, and a clear list of what is included. Private departures can be shaped around your pace; group departures follow their published schedule.
