Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Beijing

Meet your arrival team and transfer to the hotel. Leave the evening flexible for rest or an independent neighborhood walk.

Day 2: Palace and the Central Axis

Begin with the Forbidden City, then see the palace from Jingshan Park. A walk along the southern Central Axis places the imperial layout in a wider urban setting. Your guide connects the landmarks through their position in the city rather than treating each visit as an isolated stop.

Day 3: Jinshanling and Gubei Water Town

Travel to Jinshanling for a hike chosen around your experience and the conditions. Watchtowers and repeated ridge climbs provide the day’s main activity. Continue to Gubei Water Town, where the waterways offer a change of pace. A Simatai night visit is included only when the confirmed tickets and permitted schedule support it.

Day 4: Gardens and local skills

Explore the Summer Palace’s grounds and lakeside walkways, then return to the hutongs for neighborhood discovery. A Chinese diabolo experience introduces a traditional pastime through a practical session. The time spent walking and participating can be balanced to suit your group.

Day 5: Onward journey

Check out and meet your driver for the airport transfer arranged around your flight.

Planning your visit

Jinshanling includes steep steps and uneven surfaces. The written itinerary confirms the walking distance, Gubei Water Town timing, Simatai access and any special activity reservations.
