Join the departure in Beijing
The team confirms your meeting point, pickup window and group arrangements before the tour. Travel to Mutianyu with the other participants, allowing time for the road journey and the scenic-area entry process.
Arrive at the Great Wall
Review the day’s schedule with your guide, including how to reach the ramparts and where to meet after walking. Mutianyu is known for its forested mountain setting and closely spaced towers, with enough variety for both a shorter visit and a more active climb.
Time on the restored ramparts
Walk between the towers at a pace consistent with the group program. The stone steps can be steep, so there is no need to reach the highest point to enjoy a worthwhile visit. Viewpoints along the main restored section offer broad perspectives on the Wall crossing the ridgeline.
If you wish to use a cable car or toboggan, check the ticket options and operating times with the tour team. These choices depend on the specific package and need to fit the agreed meeting time.
Rejoin the group for Beijing
Return to the collection point with time to spare. The shared vehicle takes the group back to the designated city drop-off, from which you continue to your hotel.
