Planning your visit
What to know
Choose the cause before the itinerary
Start by identifying the organization or community initiative your group wants to support. Discuss its current needs with the relevant partners and consider whether a visit or activity is appropriate. A worthwhile contribution should follow the recipient’s priorities.
Build a realistic travel program
We can discuss Great Wall experiences and China travel arrangements around your group’s dates, size and interests. Allow adequate time for transfers, meetings and ordinary sightseeing rather than adding a community activity to an already crowded schedule.
The written program should explain what participants will do, where the activity takes place and which arrangements remain subject to confirmation. This helps everyone prepare for the same experience.
Separate services from contributions
Ask for a clear distinction between tour costs and any donation or other support. Name the beneficiary and agree on how the contribution will be handled. Travel logistics do not by themselves establish a charitable outcome or the terms under which a donation is received.
Agree on follow-up
Before departure, decide what information the participants and local partners need afterwards. Share feedback respectfully and use it to assess whether the activity served its intended purpose. A considerate visit should leave room for the beneficiary’s own account of the experience.
Planning your visit
Provide the beneficiary, proposed activity and contribution arrangements when requesting a program. We confirm travel services separately from any charitable commitment.
