Choose a practical departure time
We agree on a pickup time based on your Beijing location, the season and the rest of your day. The journey usually takes approximately 1.5–2 hours, although weekend and holiday traffic can extend it.
Explore Mutianyu with your guide
At the scenic area, follow your guide to the Wall using the approach agreed in your booking. Spend time walking between the watchtowers, examining the battlements and looking across the forested hills.
Mutianyu is extensively restored, which makes its architecture easier to explore than many wild-wall routes. It still includes steep stairways and substantial climbing. Your guide can suggest a shorter section or a more energetic walk according to your interests and fitness.
Pick your descent
Walking paths, cable-car services and a toboggan ride provide different ways down when operating. We explain the available choices and their ticket arrangements before the visit, rather than assuming every option is included.
Return or continue your day
Meet your driver at the agreed point for the transfer back to your hotel. For business travelers, a shorter visit with around two hours on the Wall may be possible. Airport, station or conference-venue drop-off can also be planned when the timing is suitable.
A driver-only alternative is available for guests who prefer to explore independently. Guiding, admission assistance and the meeting instructions are specified in the selected service package.
