Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrive with time to settle in

Meet your driver at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Keep the first evening open after the journey.

Day 2: Palace sightseeing and classic flavors

Explore the Forbidden City before a home-style Chinese lunch. Visit Beihai Park for a slower walk, then sit down to a roast duck dinner. The day connects major landmarks with two different dining settings, leaving the guide room to explain ingredients and the way the dishes are served.

Day 3: Great Wall and countryside cooking

Travel to Mutianyu for a walk along the restored ramparts, with the length adjusted to your group. A farmhouse lunch follows the outdoor visit. Back in the city, a Mongolian hotpot meal offers a contrasting style of eating around a shared pot.

Day 4: Market stalls and old lanes

Begin at a morning market, then explore hutong street food with your guide. Discuss the foods before tasting and allow time to ask about familiar and unfamiliar ingredients. Continue to the Temple of Heaven for the day’s cultural visit, balancing the food stops with walking and rest.

Day 5: Transfer for departure

Check out and meet your driver for the airport transfer, arranged around the confirmed flight time.

Planning your visit

Please disclose allergies, dietary restrictions and tasting preferences before the tour. Restaurants, market stops and dishes are selected around the route and current opening arrangements; the quote lists included meals.
