Check your tour’s collection point
Read the instructions issued for your specific departure. A station name is only the starting point: you also need the exit, nearby landmark or exact coach area identified by the team. Do not use the meeting place from a different tour simply because both programs mention Dongzhimen.
Arrive with time to locate the group
Plan for the walk from the subway or your taxi drop-off to the meeting place. Keep your tour code and booking name available so the representative can check you in. The departure time refers to the group’s collection arrangement, not the moment you should enter the station.
Ask for help from a precise location
If you cannot find the meeting point, contact the booking team early. Mention a visible exit sign, street name or other landmark. A location photograph can help when the team requests one, but first remain somewhere you can clearly describe.
Understand the next stage
After checking in, join the Great Wall transfer specified in your itinerary. Your confirmation should explain whether the vehicle takes you directly to the hiking start or connects with another local service. Check the return location separately; a departure from Dongzhimen does not guarantee a return to the same spot.
Planning your visit
Use the latest meeting message and allow a margin for navigating the station. If your pickup instructions change, save the revised version before travel.
