Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Huangshan
Meet your guide at the agreed station or airport and transfer to your hotel. The first evening is free, giving you time to settle in or explore the city’s tea culture independently. The arrival route and hotel standard are confirmed when the trip is arranged.
Day 2: The peaks and pines of Huangshan
Travel to the mountain scenic area after breakfast and use the agreed cable-car route to reach the higher walking paths. Huangshan is known for granite peaks, pines rooted in rock crevices and cloud formations that change quickly with the weather.
Explore the Jade Screen area and nearby viewpoints where the operating route allows. Paths include steps and sustained climbing, so the guide balances the day’s highlights with your pace. Clear conditions offer long views; mist can create a very different mountain atmosphere.
The hotel location is an important part of planning this day. We confirm whether the night is on the mountain or in the city and build the following morning around that choice.
Day 3: Mountain viewpoints, Hongcun and Tunxi
Continue the mountain visit if included in the agreed overnight plan. A sunrise outing requires suitable accommodation, access and weather, so it is arranged explicitly rather than assumed.
After descending, drive to Hongcun. Walk among whitewashed houses, dark rooflines and water features that characterize Huizhou village design. The lanes and ponds offer a quieter architectural contrast to the mountain landscape.
Return to Huangshan city and explore Tunxi Ancient Street, with its traditional shopfronts and regional tea, ink and craft products. Stay overnight in the city.
Day 4: Onward journey
Your driver takes you to the station or airport for the next stage of your trip.
Planning your visit
The proposal resolves the mountain-versus-city overnight choice and lists cable-car tickets, meals and hotel arrangements. Walking distances depend on weather, seasonal access and your preferred pace.
